Our rooms

The Numbers Room

Simple numerical skills are taught here through various media as well as an appreciation of shapes and colors. The child develops the recognition of as well as the concept of numbers. Written work is encouraged on a one-to-one basis. The child is also helped to learn how to tell the time.

The Language Room

As well as being taught simple alphabetical skills, the child develops communication skills and a strong command of the spoken word through topical work. As in the Numbers Room, written work is also encouraged on a one-to-one basis.

The Outside Playing Area

For reasons of hygiene and safety, artificial grass has been laid down. The children are encouraged to develop their own games to stimulate their imagination. This garden is also used as a meeting place where Mums and Tots can get together on a regular basis with children who are, as yet, too young to attend the Nursery.

The kitchen

This is recognized as one of the most important rooms. Hygiene has the highest priority. The meals are based on a properly balanced diet and the menu is rotated on a four-week cycle. We are careful to take note of legitimate concerns regarding certain food items and adjust our menu accordingly.

The dining room

This is not just a room purely for eating in, the learning process continues here as well. In addition to taking their meals, the children are taught simple table manners and social skills and they are expected to return their eating utensils after each meal to a central collection point in order to give each of them a sense of responsibility. The children are offered three meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and a snack.

The Practical Life Room

In this room, Sensorial skills are practiced art, modeling, domestic skills, and computer appreciation through educational CD-ROMs, puzzles, projects, etc. We also expose children to animals such as birds and fish

SMART SCREEN CENTER

There are several excellent Children’s educational videos available which they are encouraged to watch during the teaching day. At the end of the day, they may choose a lighter subject to watch whilst waiting for their Mums or Dads to come and collect them. However, please note that no videos of a violent nature are available, nor they will ever be. The room is also used as a story room.

The Playroom

This is for the children to stimulate their imagination using role-play. Various toys are available to allow all kinds of different activities.
